User Experience Testing continues across the Universities of Wisconsin

Administrative staff from across the UW system began meeting in September to preview and help test the setup of Workday they will use to complete their work.

The focus for the fall sessions is human resources and finance/research administration business processes. During User Experience Testing (UXT) participants completed scenarios in Workday to see how tasks will be performed in the future.

The HR scenarios included tasks related to processes for:

  • Benefits
  • Compensation
  • Recruiting
  • Learning
  • Time and absence

Some of the finance scenarios included business processes for:

  • Budgeting
  • Expenses
  • Grants management
  • Payroll
  • Supply chain management
  • Enterprise interface builders (EIBs)

Participants received job aids as well as additional scenarios to complete on their own. ATP design team members are staffing office hours to answer follow-up questions about Workday’s features.

User Experience Testing sessions for HR and finance/research administration continue through October. UXT for employee and manager self-service was held in August.

These events are crucial to a successful Workday go-live. ATP will complete Workday testing and refinement before training begins in March 2025.

Workday will go live across the Universities of Wisconsin in July 2025.
