Workday will go live at all 13 Universities of Wisconsin universities in July. Workday training starts in March, but not everyone will be trained at the same time. Read on to learn when you’ll be trained in the new system.
Training for Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Research Administration Staff
UW employees who work in finance, human resources, procurement, or research administration will perform most of their tasks in Workday after July 2025. On February 19, staff enrolled in training will receive information and assignments based on job duties.
Several modes of training will be available, including computer-based training courses, live webinars, instructor-led courses, and office-hour sessions to answer your questions. Additional resources include how-to videos and job aids.

Training for Employees and Managers
Formal training is not required to complete employee self-service and manager self-service tasks in Workday. However, taking the training courses will help prepare you and support your transition to Workday.

RAMP for Research Administration Staff at UW-Milwaukee and the Comprehensive Universities
RAMP training will occur April to June for employees who work in research administration at all UW universities except UW-Madison. Employees who are eligible for RAMP training will receive an email about the sign-up process in mid-March.
