A note of gratitude as Workday goes live

Colleagues,

Workday went live on Monday, July 7, marking an important milestone for the Universities of Wisconsin. Using a single, unified system for our business processes will improve efficiency, transparency, reporting, cybersecurity, and decision-making within and among universities. No information system is perfect, and we will encounter challenges in the coming weeks. However, we are prepared to quickly adapt in the short term while maturing our processes in the medium term to strengthen our ability to meet the requirements of higher education in the long term.

Whether you use Workday for your daily responsibilities or to manage your own employment information, I appreciate your flexibility and willingness to participate in training and learn how to use our new software system. The Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) and UW-Shared Services have partnered to provide robust support for this transition. Visit the Workday website to find resources such as training and job aids, or to submit a request to GetHelpUW when you need additional assistance.

Please join me in expressing my deep appreciation to the thousands of employees from our 13 universities for their hard work and collaboration over the past six years as partners in this endeavor. It has been the highlight of my professional career to work with such talented and dedicated colleagues throughout this program.

Thank you all for your dedication to higher education, your university, and the entire Universities of Wisconsin.
