How to get help after Workday goes live

You have learned what Workday means for you and completed training for your role. When you begin working in the system, what should you do if you encounter questions or problems?

The Workday website has many resources to help you. Get started by bookmarking pages dedicated to your role, which will include links to job aids for common actions you can take in Workday. You will also find recordings of training and office hours, news and announcements, a Workday Glossary, FAQs, and a Help Link Library.

If you can’t find the answer you need in the Workday website resources, you can submit your question to GetHelpUW, the Workday support portal. Beginning July 7, it will provide help for all Workday topics. Your question will prompt some quick help links that may provide what you need. If not, you can submit a help request, and a team member will respond. You will receive updates and notifications about your help request.

Log in with your UW credentials and multi-factor authentication, and use the portal to:

  • Get help with employee and manager self-service processes in Workday, including:
    • Update my personal information
    • Ask a question about benefits
    • Find my time off balance
    • Manage my training or training for others
    • Submit an expense report
