Workday training for all UW System faculty and staff is slated to begin in March 2024 and will continue after the system goes live in July 2024.
“Training is scheduled to begin three to four months before go-live,” said Amy Berendes, ATP End User Training Lead, “to allow enough time for staff to be fully prepared and to remember what they learned.”
Staff working in finance and human resources roles will be trained on the new standardized processes designed in Workday. All UW System employees will learn how to manage time and absence, access their payslips, change their profile, and more. Everyone will also learn how to access Workday through a mobile device.
Training will be delivered in a variety of ways, including job aids, webinars, and instructor-led sessions. Much of the computer-based training will be available 24/7 for staff to take at a time that fits their schedule.
If you don’t want to wait until March to get a glimpse of Workday, you’re in luck. ATP provides monthly Workday Walkthroughs that include high-level introductions and demonstrations. Recordings of the walkthroughs are available to anyone with a UW login.
