Workday wordplay: Helpful terms for managers

Workday training begins in March 2025, but if you manage staff, you can start learning about the features of the My Team Management dashboard now so you’re ready to dive in.

Sections of the dashboard called Worklets provide quick access to tools and reports for supervisors such as:

My Team shows your team and takes you quickly to the worker profile of your direct reports when you select their name.

My Team’s Learning shares the learning courses your employees are assigned to, as well as attendance and completion status.

Recent Activity displays the business processes that are in-process or recently completed as they relate to your employees.

  • Time and Scheduling Hub: Review, edit, and approve time for your employees.

  • Learning Enrollment: View learning enrollments, completion statuses, and attendance for your team.
  • Workday Terminology: Reference for commonly used terms and phrases in Workday.
  • Workday Communication Tools: Access documents and videos for general Workday knowledge.

The Actions menu allows you to edit and approve time, request absences, and manage absences.

The View menu lets you see team information such as the organizational chart.
