Notice of intent to select Workday for new ERP

On January 7, the University of Wisconsin System issued a notice of its intent to select Workday to provide a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to replace the Human Resource System (HRS) and the Shared Financial System (SFS) at all UW institutions. Workday was chosen by the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP) as part of its ongoing efforts to improve HR, finance, and research administration operations.

The notice of intent is the first step in contract negotiations with Workday; a contract with Workday has not yet been negotiated or signed. The system was identified as the top candidate by the ATP software selection committee following months of deliberation and ERP vendor demonstrations that began in January 2020.

Because of the ongoing procurement process, further information is not currently available. ATP encourages all interested stakeholders to send their feedback to atp@vc.wisc.edu.
