This month, we’re sitting down for a Q&A with Crystal Jones, Research Administration Functional Lead and Grants Management Design Team Lead.

What’s your hometown?
Milwaukee, WI

How long have you worked in the UW System, where, and in what roles?
I’ve worked at UW just over 14 years. I spent 11 years in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at UW-Madison as a post-award accountant and cost studies analyst prior to joining ATP in early 2020.

What’s your role and team on ATP?
I’m the Research Administration Functional Lead and Grants Management Design Team Lead focused on the Workday implementation.

Why did you want to work for ATP?
I was excited for the opportunity to be part of a team that will transform and enhance administrative efficiencies for UW overall and the research administration community.

What’s a fun fact about you?
I love to travel and bake! Earlier this year I took a trip to South Africa, and in my free time I bake macarons
